All tricks have been with riverboards:

- barrel rolls (perpendicular to the water flow staying in the hole)
- nose stalls (punching the nose into the water stalling for split second before being pushed out) This move works to exit a lot of surf waves.
- 360 board spins (board moves 360 while rider remains stationary) easier than a 360 flat spin
- Side surfing
- surfing while laying on your back

I've attempted but haven't completed a forward flip. Although some other great boarders in Europe have (i believe there are some videos here our on you-tube).

Lets here some more!

I've been able to get on my knees and surf in the hole. I've even tried standing, but have always provided entertainment for onlookers as I come crashing back down before I'm even able to fully get up .

I've been able to do a really crude 360 flat spin, but can't get it on regular basis or make it look smooth (I only really started it at the end of the year). I'll be at it again this year though.

There are some locals at the Gutter (Idaho) using boogie boards that make the 360 flat spin look effortless. They can even spin while laying on their back and drinking a beer or soda. There are videos of these guys on youtube.

Cheers,

Kevin

i have never gotten to surf on a riverboard except once on a small wave with a carlson board.

on my bodyboard i have executed many a flat spin on glassy waves and in wave/holes.

I have also done the reverse flat spin on a larger glass/breaking wave which involves doing a cutback and then spinning into the cutback.... very fun, much easier on an ocean wave.

i have done many barrel rolls(el rollos as they are referred to in the ocean) on both glass waves and in wave/holes. I would really like to do a back flip or something like that or just catch some real air but I think i need to get on bus eater or something to have the possible amplitude required.

an all time favorite is the board 360 or "shove it" as i like to think of it. also a great move is the classic backsurf, normally resulting from a flatspin gone haywire....

all i know is that nothing can feel as good as a big clean cut-back with lots of spray.. not exactly a trick but incredibly satisfying manuever

Levi, in skate and bmx anytime that you spin without your board/bike it is called a varial (sp?). Wanna go with the same format and call it a varial knelling barrel roll?
