Airboard was nominated for a Volvo Design Award recently and rightfully so, considering their environmentally friendly Airboard recycling program and style-conscious European designs.
Airboard makes a full line of products out of old, recycled Airboards, including purses, laptop bags, backpacks, and more! All of their products are made entirely out of old Airboards which have been used beyond their ability to perform at the high level needed to be called an “Airboard”, and are designed by Italian designers. The recycled products contain the original Airboard’s serial number, which itself includes the date and ancestry information of that Airboard.
Their new 130-X and 180-X Airboards are currently available in Europe but not North America (thanks in large part to the weak Dollar vs. the Euro) although they can be special ordered, and they feature a radiant fluorescent green top which is made from high-tech but environmentally friendly materials. |
