The world's most challenging adventure race is back, this time in one of my home states of Montana...and yours truly is in charge of the water sections (over 100 miles of the 500+ mile course is water). Late snowpack and snowfall have led to flooding rivers...I paddled and riverboarded over 100 miles in 2 days last week to check out the course and prepare for the race, but we have had to change the course the past 24 hours due to flooding... But, the riverboarding will still be AWESOME, I think I can say this will be the biggest riverboarding ever featured in an adventure race...actually the most whitewater, there are 2-5 foot waves on the 80 mile FLATWATER paddle (it was supposed to be flatwater!)... I'll be working with the DP from Voom who are filming for Rush HD, the all High Definition network that bought the rights to PQ...we're going to get some sick shots - well, he will be, I'll be paddling him and swimming him so he can get the shots, should be fun.
Race starts Monday morning, follow along at www.ecoprimalquest.com .

FaceLevel. com is also sponsoring team Nike (4x champions), Merrell / Zanfel (featuring Robyn Benincasa, the world's most hardcore female athlete and all around cool chick), and Dart-nuun (a team with great chemistry that I always enjoy hanging out with).

Kern Riverboards is sponsoring Dart-nuun with riverboards, and Mean Monkey Sports has sponsored the race with rental boards, so you'll see a lot of Mean Monkey inflatables out on the course. They also sponsored Nike.

There were almost entirely real riverboards out there this year. Tons of Carlson's, easily the most. Probably about 20+ Ripboards, 20+ Kern Riverboards, a dozen or so RMR's, a bunch of Surfster J-Bay's, about 30 Mean Monkey boards, a couple homemade ones, a few modified boogie boards, and all the rest Carlson's. Well, and my black and yellow duct-tape board from 2007, a super tall guy named Jan Trojanowski is using it. Oh yeah, and the girl on his team is using Niko's hydrospeed. I'm sure you'll see pictures on the PQ site... I'll be posting more as I can but for up-to-date info, tracking, and pics go to www.ecoprimalquest.com
