CAL-SALMON NORDHEIMER EXTREME DOWNRIVER - MAY 2-4

The Cal-Salmon race will be an extreme downriver race of about 7 miles, with some gnarly Class IV and V whitewater! Then depending on water levels, we will head to another section of river for a Boardercross race and Surfing comp. Camping is plentiful and free, and this will be a very fun weekend with a lot of boaters as well.

NOTE: You must run this stretch prior to the actual race. We will be riverboarding it a day or two before the race, so make it a point to be there to scout and learn the rapids.

EDDY FLOWER VERTICAL CHALLENGE - 32 DAYS MAY 15 to JUNE 15

Riverboarders have been invited to join in the annual Eddy Flower Vertical Challenge, a month-long competition to see who can riverboard the most vertical feet of whitewater!

The competition is not just for cool prizes and bragging rights, though - it's also for a good cause. Eddy Flower has teamed up with First Descents, an organization that "offers young adults with cancer outdoor experiences that will forever change their lives."

Face Level is stoked to be part of this event and will be providing prizes for the winning teams in the Riverboarding category. Boarders can race in the Open category for this year.

EVENTS: Vertical Challenge - teams of 1-5 people compete to see who can notch the most vertical feet of whitewater rivers in a month
POINTS: Eddy Flower

GORE CANYON EXTREME DOWNRIVER - AUGUST 16th

Gore Canyon in Colorado is one of the most challenging stretches of whitewater that you'll ever riverboard. At an elevation around 9,000 feet, and with 4 miles of continuous Class IV / V whitewater, you'll be both mentally and physically challenged in a way you never have before.

The record for this race is sub-28 minutes, held by Aspen Seals guide Gary Pera. He's a competitor and will definitely be looking to defend his record on his home turf!

NOTE: You must run this stretch prior to the actual race. We will be riverboarding it a day or two before the race, so make it a point to be there to scout and learn the rapids.

GAULEYFEST 2008 - SEPTEMBER 19-21

GauleyFest is one of the most popular whitewater events in the world, and with good reason - big, fluffy whitewater, thousands of people, and great food and fun.

We're looking at this as kind of the "All-Star Weekend" to follow up to the season finale the week before in Charlotte. Come out and have some fun, and if you've been wanting to test your mettle on some bigger Class IV whitewater, this is the weekend to do it and to ride with some of the most experienced riverboarders around.
