Well, I can feel the butterflies already. Not really the bad kind, but the nervous, excited kind. This is how I usually feel before a competition. Unfortunately I haven't felt this way in a while because I haven't been competing as much as when I was younger. Maybe thats why I'm doing this, to make up for lost time. Who knows. All I know is that tomorrow is probably going to be the longest endurance event I have ever done. That is something considering I did a half-Ironman when I was a sophomore in high school.
I've got everything I need for in the morning in a nice little pile in my room. My food is prepared, a bunch of peanut butter and honey sandwiches, banannas, and power gels. I have 3 gallons of water and a bunch of Nuun to go with it. I took the week off from skiing to let my legs recuperate, and havn't jumped this week either. Hopefully my body took this time to build up enough energy to complete my goal, all 759 floors of it.
Either way this is going to be a good experience. An adventure. A story. I will come out of it knowing more about myself then when I went in. For me thats my favorite reason for getting out of my comfort zone, having to face your inner demons. Well I'm pretty sure I'll get to know my pretty well tomorrow. I'll fill you all in when I get back, or whenever I recuperate enough to type... Wish me luck :)
