Newbie Michael Hirtzel set out to become a Class V riverboarder in only 7 days...11 rivers, 4 States and 3,000 miles later, well, the story is still being told!
While I was in Sichuan for the Nosu Torch Festival, a friend showed me a little creeking run. I missed high water by about a week or so missing out on getting to run the west fork of the Black, and I lost a flipper on the run ending the day prematurely, but I was glad to be on the water. Thanks to Rob for his excellent pictures and to Ben for showing me around.
